Public Hearing Dates Set For Greenway Toll Increase (Per Delegate Ramadan’s Office) “On November 14th, 2012, Toll Road Investors Partnership II, L.P. (TRIP II), owners of the Dulles Greenway, requested permission to institute an increase in the tolls along the Greenway. Delegate Ramadan filed an official complaint with the State Corporation Commission (SCC) on December 7th, 2012, requesting that the increase be denied and that the toll rates on the Dulles Greenway be investigated to ensure compliance with the Code of Virginia.” “On January 16th, in spite of the request and arguments presented by Delegate Ramadan, the SCC issued an order allowing TRIP II to increase the toll rates. In response, Delegate Ramadan submitted a new request that the toll structure be investigated. January 30th, in response to Delegate Ramadan’s request, the SCC issued an order initiating an investigation into the current rate structure and rate levels charged by TRIP II.” The SCC has set several hearing dates for public comments.
