2019 BCA Board Election: Nomination Deadline Today, October 4th - BCA is seeking candidates for three seats on its Board that will be filled in this fall’s election. Please visit our Call for Candidates page for a Nominating Petition and the election timeline. The petition deadline is today, October 4th at 5 PM.

  • Residents who have served on an Association committee or other board position or have an interest in serving the community typically make great candidates for a HOA board position. The commitment is for a three-year term.
  • The Board regularly meets every even month beginning at 8:15 AM, with possible additional meetings to handle special Association business. Meetings typically last approximately two hours. The meeting time and frequency is subject to change if the new Board deems it appropriate or necessary. Specific requirements and duties for Board Members can be found in the Association’s governing documents available here.
  • Residents interested in running for the Board are expected to schedule a meeting with General Manager Rick Stone to discuss the responsibilities and duties of a Board Member. If you have questions pertaining to the open Board positions or the election itself, please contact Mr. Stone at rick.stone@brambleton.org.

COMMUNITY STANDARDS

Commercial Vehicles - BCA would like to remind residents that parking commercial vehicles in a visible location within Brambleton, other than on a temporary and non-recurring basis, is not permitted, per our Vehicle Policy Resolution and our Declaration (Article 8.2 (n) Vehicles). Additional information on Parking Commercial Vehicles in Residential Zones can be found through Loudoun County here. If you have any questions, please contact communitystandards@brambleton.org.

Bag Those Leaves! - Brambleton residents are reminded to keep grass clippings and leaves out of streets, storm drains, and common areas. Blowing leaves and other yard debris into the street, sidewalk, or storm drainage system is a violation of community standards and stormwater ordinances. Grass clippings, leaves, and other lawn debris can clog storm drains, resulting in street and private property flooding. Also, leaves blown into the street can create a slippery and dangerous surface for traveling motorcyclists and bicyclists. When finished mowing, be sure to use a blower, broom, or rake to clean up any leaves or debris that have inadvertently made their way into the street, sidewalk, or storm drain.

Proper Storage of Waste Containers - Trash is collected on Tuesdays, and yard waste collection (Mar. - Dec.) also occurs on Tuesdays. Trash, recycling, and scheduled bulk pickups are performed on Fridays. Bulk pickups can be arranged with the waste removal contractor via brambleton@republicservices.com; some items will incur an additional charge. Trash containers and recycling bins are to be put out no earlier than 6 PM on the evening before the scheduled pickup day. All containers and bins should be removed from the streets, walkways, or exterior portions of the lots following pickup on the day of service. Trash containers and recycling bins are not permitted to be stored in a location visible from a neighboring property. Additional information can be found on our website. Please contact Community Standards with any additional questions at communitystandards@brambleton.org or 703-542-6263.
